The staff at St Ives Park PS believes that assistance at home with homework can be of benefit to your child. Ensuring they have a quiet environment, a desk and implements to use means that your child understands that you value homework as beneficial to their learning.
Encouraging your child to complete a set amount of homework each day is also a good idea to intrinsically build a routine within the child, which will benefit their transition into high school where homework programs are more extensive.
St Ives Park PS has an effective homework policy established and developed in consultation with parents and students. Take the time to read the policy below regarding homework and please remember that if your child has any difficulty with homework, do not hesitate to contact the class teacher by making an appointment through the school office. Homework is not meant to be a burdon but a benefit to learning development. Read the attached latest school homework policy below for further information.
