Outside School Hours Care (OSHC)

Helping Hands Network works in partnership with St Ives Park Public School to provide Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) services to the school community. We provide before, after and vacation care. 

At Helping Hands, children enjoy a fun, learing experience. From exciting activities and healthy nutritious food to caring and motivated team members. You can be sure your child is safe and has lots of fun, before and after school. 

 

Location & Contact

The Helping Hands OSHC facility is located in St Ives Park PS enter Via Gate 2 on Acron Road.  All children attending the service must be dropped off in the morning or collected in the afternoon by an authorised person and signed in and out of the OSHC room each day.

What happens at OSHC?

We offer engaging activities for all ages, including arts and craft, games, cooking, sports, drama, board games, dress -ups and fun with friends. 

On request from parents, children can participarte in homework club. 

Before and After School Care

Care is available 5 days per week during term time. Before school, the service operates from 7.00am – Bell time. After school, the service operates Bell time  to 6.30pm. Children can walk straight to and from their classrooms. Educators pick up and drop off the Kindy and Year 1 students and escort them to the OSHC room ground floor D Block (near the Canteen). Helping Hands provides a healthy breakfast at Before School Care and a healthy afternoon tea at After School Care. 

Vacation Care 

Vacation care is provided during school holidays and Staff Development Days. The service operates from 7:00am - 6:30pm. Our Vacation Care Programs are stuffed to the brim with holiday fun. With a wide variety of engaging activities that range from arts and crafts to sports days, cooking and dance parties - there is a new advernture every day. A copy of the Vacation Care program is available on the Helping Hands website and published in The Patter a few weeks before the end of each term. 

Our Team 

At Helping Hands, your child will always be in the care of qualified, experienced and friendly educators, who all have 'Woring with Children" clearances. Our Coordinators are trainined in first aid, CPR, asthma and anaphylaxis. 

Currently, places are available in Before School Care, and After School Care.
